Are you actually a good person?
The voice wasn’t mine, but it came from within.
The tone changed to a decree:
YOU ACTUALLY ARE A GOOD PERSON.
You want others to enjoy their lives.
You do your best to be kind and generous.
You know it to be true, so why don’t you treat yourself like it’s true?
Walking down the street… who knows what my mind was spinning about—this voice made my mind stop.
This voice didn’t come from my head, but about two feet below it.
And for that moment, I knew it to be true.
I felt it to be true.
And I felt free.
“Why am I so hard on myself?” is no longer the question...
It’s “What do I do now, in the moment I become aware of it?”
If this resonated, share it.
Send it to someone who could use it today, or share it with your own community or network. Use the Share button below, or copy the link and post it wherever you like.
It’s one of the greatest compliments you can give.
Until next time, Freethinker… stay present, be pleasant, and have an amazing day 🙏
