1 Creation From Me
“The Burnt Out Man” - a poem
(Click the play button at the top to listen to the audio)
The burnt-out man was slowly dying,
Lived on the ground instead of flying.
Was lying low instead of being proud,
Always whispered, never shouted out loud.
He took a job just for the pay,
And did the same thing day after day...
...Dithering and slithering and withering away.
But somewhere buried lived a spark,
That couldn't be extinguished in the darkest of the dark,
In the blackest of night, in the void of the hole,
The immutable, beautiful, dutiful soul.
The giver of life and maker of dreams,
That unravels monotony right at the seams.
Thus, he had two hands he could play,
To continue surviving and fizzle away,
Or to know deep within that it wasn't too late,
To take the helm of his ship and determine his fate.
It took great courage to leave the known,
But he stopped letting fear steal a life of his own.
No longer burnt out, he's now fanning the flames,
He’s kicking ass and taking names.
He's fanning the flames as his fierce fire grows,
And embers spray strong like a whipping wind blows.
A molten eruption, an inferno rages,
Massive heat crackles and melts up the cages,
That once bound him in as his fire burned small,
And now it burns brighter, the brightest of all.
So let the burnt-out man inspire your fire,
And know there's a reason for your burning desire.
You're alive to blaze bright, now light that inner torch.
The world is your oyster, will you slip away or scorch?
Will you flicker and fizzle and fade into the night,
Or summon your soul as your sacred spark ignites?
Will you live life to the fullest? It's what life's about...
And will YOU vow to never, ever...let your fire burn out?
1 Quote from another:
American author, coach, and motivational speaker Tony Robbins, on the concept of inner fire:
"The great thing about fire is it's never really out—there's always a spark. And all it takes is a spark, and it reignites...and then it burns like crazy."

1 Question to ponder:
What inner calling has been fading out for far too long...instead of burning bright and blazing strong?
If this resonated, pass it along to someone who needs it today. Let’s grow this circle!
Until next time, freethinkers…stay present, be pleasant, and have an amazing day!
