The Beautiful Release
Sometimes the smallest teachers reveal the biggest truths.
I notice an ant, gently tickling my arm.
I’m glad that I feel him, before causing any harm.
You see, with just a swipe, it’d be too late.
So I give a little blow… a much safer fate.
Then I blow, harder and harder, but he holds on tight—
resisting and struggling with all of his might.
I want to shout, “Let go! You will fall and be sore…
But if you stay here, you will suffer much more.”
Then, with a mighty gust—the beautiful release.
He falls, shakes it off, and returns to his life of peace.
I wonder how many times I held on tightly to stay,
While the universe was blowing—showing me the way.
I just didn’t know, I suppose I didn’t trust,
How often help comes in the form of a gust.
Now, when I feel myself gripping—stopping the flow,
I think of that little ant…
take a breath…
and let go.
If this resonated, share it with someone who could use it today.
Until next time, Freethinker… stay present, be pleasant, and have an amazing day 🙏
